In line with our strategic objectives to build up the global LGBT+ movement and ensure that LGBT+ rights enjoy global recognition and acceptance, this programme aims to contribute to the increased respect, mainstreaming and realisation of LGBT+ rights in the Commonwealth. It does this by supporting enhanced capacity and intersectional advocacy efforts of LGBT+ civil society in the Commonwealth.
This programme has a global footprint but particularly focuses on providing support to civil society organisations in the Asia Pacific region to enable them to uphold the human rights of LGBT+ and other intersectional-disadvantaged people.
This programme is funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The pressing LGBTI+ human rights challenges of our day can only be solved through collaboration, whether that be with grassroots or international human rights organisations, governments and funding bodies – and people that really care, like you.
