VACANCY: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (FULL TIME)
We are looking for an Executive Director (ED) who is passionate about what we do, who will drive and lead our work and continue to grow our organisation, which presently has nine full-time staff members. The post-holder will also be expected to shape and prioritise efforts to generate financial support to achieve the objectives set out in the charity’s strategy.
The Executive Director will lead a qualified, diverse and motivated team. The Board are looking for someone with a proven track record of managing a growing organisation. The ED will be someone who will fit well into an environment which is professional but unstuffy, where team work is essential and where individual skills need to be fostered.
The Executive Director will report to the Board of Directors. The Board regularly reviews Kaleidoscope Trust’s strategy, which is designed to adapt to available resources and new opportunities. The Board are looking for someone who has vision, and the skills to deliver that vision. We need someone who can think strategically and plan and manage the financial challenges of securing both programme and core funding. The ED will be someone who can inspire both Board and staff and harness their enthusiasm and commitment.

VACANCY: PROGRAMME MANAGER (PART-TIME) - "STRONG IN DIVERSITY - BOLD ON INCLUSION"
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, creative and influential NGO, as we expand our staff team and international activities championing the equality and human rights of LGBT+ people to accelerate change to end discrimination.
The Programme Manager’s work will focus on the planning and delivery of the “Strong in Diversity – Bold on Inclusion”, a three-year programme aimed at promoting LGBT+ inclusion and driving positive change for LGBT+ people in five African cities. Between now and March 2022, the programme will:
● Engage societal leaders to convince them to change their – often negative and stigmatising – narratives and actions around issues related to LGBT+ people
● Educate journalists and media houses to better understand the daily lives and struggles of LGBT+ people, and encourage diversity on the media workroom floors
● Empower LGBT+ communities by providing tools, strengthening skills and expertise and protecting their well-being, and support them to engage with societal leaders and the media.
The Programme Manager will be critical in ensuring the delivery of Kaleidoscope Trust’s contribution to this programme. The post-holder will work in close collaboration with a variety of stakeholders in the implementation of the programme, including Kaleidoscope Trust’s Executive Director, the wider Kaleidoscope Trust team, the “Strong in Diversity – Bold on Inclusion” consortium partners and central programme management team, and local activists and social and political leaders from a variety of African contexts.

VACANCY: FINANCE AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER (PART-TIME)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, creative and influential NGO, as we expand our staff team and international activities championing the equality and human rights of LGBT+ people and women and girls to accelerate change to end discrimination.
To accommodate this growth, we now seek a hands-on Finance and Compliance Manager to join our team supporting operations. The post-holder will be responsible for leading on strengthening and streamlining Kaleidoscope Trust’s compliance and financial management and control processes and procedures, as required. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders, including the programme teams, the Executive Director and the Treasurer, to provide high quality financial data and analysis to support making strategic financial decisions at both the organisational and programmatic levels. They will ensure strong, compliant financial performance, and that the Trust’s resources deliver value for money and are being used efficiently for maximum impact. The post-holder will also liaise with the auditor on bookkeeping matters as required.
