The Global LGBTI+ Rights Commission is a time-bound, international initiative convened by Kaleidoscope Trust in response to a growing crisis: the coordinated and well-funded rollback of LGBTI+ rights worldwide. This Commission exists to meet that moment. Over the next two years, we will:
- Diagnose the drivers of rollback
- Consult with communities and experts worldwide
- Amplify the voices of those most affected
- Produce a Global Roadmap for Action to resist and reverse anti-rights trends
To ensure that the Commission is accountable, inclusive, and globally grounded, we are establishing an Advisory Council. By joining the Advisory Council, you will help ensure that our roadmap reflects not only analysis, but lived realities, and that it is shaped by those who refuse to be silenced.
The Council will:
- Elevate underrepresented voices and regional perspectives
- Connect the Commission’s findings to real-world advocacy
- Provide insight to shape thematic working papers into a globally informed strategy
- Help ensure that the Commission reflects the diversity and resilience of our movement
This is an opportunity to help shape a collective fightback against a global rollback of rights.
We welcome applications from:
- Activists and advocates with lived experience of repression or resistance
- Civil society leaders working at national, regional, or international levels
- Researchers and thinkers bringing fresh insights into law, policy, digital spaces, funding, or cultural narratives
- Community voices from underrepresented groups, including trans, intersex, indigenous, migrant, and youth perspectives
Above all, we seek people with the courage to imagine solutions, the commitment to solidarity, and the willingness to act globally.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the first year of the Commission to ensure diversity and inclusion.
