Kaleidoscope Trust is one of four organisations delivering the innovative Equality & Justice Alliance (EJA) programme, which aims to support the reform of discriminatory and criminalising laws affecting LGBT+ people and women and girls in Commonwealth countries.
We help build the momentum for reform through multiple avenues, working with civil society, engaging leaders and providing technical legal support to legislators. Kaleidoscope Trust leads the EJA work on supporting or building intersectional national and regional movements to effectively advocate for legal reform.
The EJA came out of The Commonwealth Equality Network’s successful advocacy last year and as a direct result of then-Prime Minister Theresa May's expression of deep regret for these laws and their legacy.
