Kaleidoscope Director named in World Pride Power List

Lance Price, the Executive Director of the Kaleidoscope Trust has been named in this year's World Pride Power list. The list, which with its international focus is the only one of its kind, celebrates of 100 influential LGBT people from around the globe.

Speaking about his inclusion Lance said:

It is a tribute to all the hard work that so many at the Kaleidoscope Trust have done since our launch less than two years that we have been included in this list. All 100 names show the huge diversity of people ready to stand up for the rights of LGBT people internationally. And it's a reminder that however much has been achieved at home there are still big and important battles to be fought around the world. It is still illegal to be gay in over 70 countries and the under-representation of LGBT people from the global south is a stark reminder of this fact.

The list is produced by Square Peg Media and the Guardian. Other entrants included Stephen Fry, Ellen DeGeneres and Peter Tatchell. Mark Palmer-Edgecumbe, Head of Diversity at Google and a Kaleidoscope Trust board member was also included on the list.
