We support LGBT+ activists around the world

Kaleidoscope Trust celebrates annual gala, raising over £70,000

On Thursday 30th January, friends and supporters of Kaleidoscope Trust gathered at the Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel to celebrate our annual Gala Pledge Dinner.

It was an evening both to celebrate our successes over the past year, as well as to pay tribute to the activists we work with all around the world. We were delighted to see some familiar faces on the night, as well as to welcome some new faces into the fold.

The evening was hosted by the brilliant Ben Hunte, and featured a suite of wonderful speakers and performers. Our immense thanks go out to Jason Jones for his deeply moving remarks, as well as to our talented performers Jerman Jackman and K-Soul who got everyone on their feet. Additionally, an enormous thank you to the ravishing and hilarious Crystal Rasmussen, who is a force!

Through the generous support of those in the room, we were able to raise over £70,000 – an incredible achievement! These funds will go directly to our work fighting for and upholding LGBT+ equality across the world.

Another big thanks to our sponsors JP Morgan and DesignBridge, without whom the night would not have been possible.

Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Trust, said:

"We are absolutely thrilled to have welcomed new supporters into the Kaleidoscope Trust family. The time for action on LGBT+ rights is now. Although we are seeing positive movements around the world, we're also seeing regressive policies being introduced in countries we thought otherwise LGBT+ friendly. The fight for equality in our global community is not over, and Kaleidoscope Trust will be at the forefront of that fight, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Thank you again for putting your trust in us."

We have some fabulous photos capturing the night which you can check out over on Facebook. While you're there we're also over on Twitter and Instagram, so feel free to give us a follow there as well.
