QUEER COMMONWEALTH: FACES OF THE LGBT+ MOVEMENT (Photography Exhibition)

Australia House, Melbourne Place entrance, Strand, WC2B 4LA

Mon 02 Jul - Fri 06 Jul 18, Australia House, Melbourne Place entrance, Strand, WC2B 4LA

This exhibition contains the portraits of leading activists from The Commonwealth Equality Network: a diverse group of organisations who work tirelessly to advance  inclusion and justice for LGBT+ people.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people continue to face high levels of discrimination and violence across the Commonwealth, with the vast majority of countries maintaining laws that criminalise same-sex acts between adults.

Because it should never be illegal to be you.

Commissioned by Kaleidoscope Trust in partnership with The Commonwealth Equality Network.

Photography by Eivind Hansen.
