LGBTI Rights in the Commonwealth
Activists from across the Commonwealth discuss LGBTI rights
Of the 53 Commonwealth member states 40 criminalise same-sex activity.
Join the Kaleidoscope Trust and the Commonwealth Equality Network, at the offices of Baker and Mackenzie, as we look at how LGBT activists are working across the Commonwealth to support change at the local, national and international level.
We are fortunate to be joined by a unique group of activists from around the Commonwealth who will share their experience of working in countries where same sex relations are criminalised and give us their perception of the global fight for equality.
Speakers include:
Rosanna Flamer-Caldera, Sri Lanka
Caleb Orozco, Belize
Ifeanyi Orazulike, Nigeria
Steve Letsike, South Africa
Jonah Chinga, Kenya
We are grateful to Baker and McKenzie for supporting this event.
