Ha Ha Hackney

An evening of extravagant gay comedy

July 8, 2012, The Hackney Empire

The Kaleidoscope Trust is the charity partner for Ha Ha Hackney, a gay extravaganza of homo comedy where Britain's top LGBT comics pay tribute and celebrate over half a century of Gaiety. The show will highlight the issues that surround gay rights across the world – and celebrate the ground breaking comics who trail blazed the way for gay artists in the years when homosexuality was still illegal in the UK.

Hosted by Sandi Toksvig

A show paying tribute to stars such as John Inman, Danny La Rue, Kenneth Williams, Kenny Everett and Larry Grayson plus the best of the best right up to the present day. This show will have all the glitz, glamour and Gaiety our top gay comedians can offer. With footage from the BFI television and film archive, a fabulous Drag chorus line and show stopping numbers – this show will be a highlight of World Pride Month.

Artists include:
Simon Fanshawe
London Gay Men’s Chorus
Stephen K Amos
Nora Bone
Adele Anderson
