The Kaleidoscope Trust Annual IDAHOT Day Lecture

Given by Anna Grodzka, the first transgender Polish MP

17 May 2013, The Commonwealth Club

The Kaleidoscope Trust is delighted to announce that our Annual Lecture to mark International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT) will be given by Anna Grodzka the first transgender member of the Polish Parliament. The event is being staged with thanks to the generous support of Square Peg Media, publishers of G3 Magazine and Out in the City.

As currently the only transgender member of a national Parliament anywhere in the world Anna will put her own struggle and achievements in the context of the issues facing the transgender community around the world. The plight of transgender people has too often been ignored and excluded from the international struggle for LGBT rights and Kaleidoscope is keen to affirm that we include the rights and an end to discrimination for all on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity.

Anna is a truly inspirational speaker and Kaleidoscope is proud and hugely excited at being able to offer this opportunity to hear her speak in London on  international day of action.  It reaffirms the UK's commitment to include  the rights of transgender people alongside those of lesbians,  gay men and bisexuals in the international struggle for human rights.

As places are limited we would urge you to reserve your seats as soon as possible.
